FOURTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

OF THE ASIAN PHILOSOPHICAL ASSOCIATION

4- 6 November 2009

THE PATH TO ALLIANCE OF CIVILIZATIONS

THROUGH THE ASIAN COMMUNITY

 

The University of Indonesia is jointly organizing the Fourth International Conference of the Asian Philosophical Association (ICAPA 2008) in Jakarta, Indonesia on 4-6 November 2009 in cooperation with Fatih University of Turkey, DaeDong Philosophical Association of Korea.

The main themes of the conference are provided below. The sessions will be arranged thematically and each paper will be allowed twenty minutes for presentation. The languages of the conference are English, Bahasa Indonesia, Korean and Turkish. Accepted papers will be published in a proceedings volume one week before the conference will take place.


Prospective participants are invited to send abstracts of their proposed papers by 1 September 2009 to the following e-mail address:alpali@fatih.edu.tr The author should indicate his/her personal full contact details and include his/her summary curriculum vitae with the abstract.

 Once the abstracts accepted, the final deadline for the submission of complete papers is 15 October 2009.

Submission and Relevant Information

1. Full paper is either in English, Bahasa Indonesia, Korean or Turkish.

2. The full paper must be an original submission, not published elsewhere.

3. Both abstracts and full papers must be submitted as a MS Word file by e-mail.

4. Papers should have 12 font for text and 10 font for footnotes. For transliteration and notes style, please follow the instructions on the following link: http://www.asianpa.net/ijapa/instructions.html

5. Papers will be printed one week before the conference. Therefore, we need the full final version of the papers no later than October 15st2009.

Accommodation

The accommodation will be arranged in a five star hotel in Jakarta.

1.      1 Person= $100/day (100 USD per day per person in room sharing 2 people). All domestic transportation, in&inter city, museum entrance fees, breakfast, lunch, dinner registration fee included.

2.      1 Person= $150/day (150 USD per day per person in single room, 5 star hotel). All domestic transportation, in&inter city, museum entrance fees, breakfast, lunch, dinner, registration fee included.

3.      Deadline for Hotel and Domestic Plane Reservations: 23 October. Advance payment to make reservations is USD200.

Registration

Registration fee for local participants from Indonesia is Rp1.000.000. - Participation for the conference, lunch included.  

Funding

We have very limited funding available only for invited speakers. However, at the moment we are trying to get funding from some NGO’s but even this will be extremely limited.
